Certificate error

Post by a1n »

Hi

I have recurring errors with certificate(s) for ssl connections to the B3.

Outlook complains about the certificate.

The message is
The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that could not be verified.

A certificate chain processed, but terminated in a root certificate which is not trusted by the trust provider.
I can still get access.

The same happens using a connection over https to B3, whether within the LAN or from the outside. The message is identical, the root is not a trusted provider. The problem is independant of the machine I use.

It is not really a problem, just annoying.

Can you help? Have you encountered similar problems?

Regards, a1n

This is because the certificate on the B3 is not issued by a trusted certificate provider. If you want a "real" certificate you have to pay for it, then you won't get the question.

I don't know much about Outlook though, but I tell my mail client (I use Thunderbird) to just silently accept the certificate.

Hi Daniel, thanks for the response. I will see if I can do the same in Outlook.
