I recently bought a b3/Wireless and i'm pleased with the device and the web UI very much!
B3 is in my living room next to the stereo and use (via the LAN - Port) the Network Audio Player Marantz NA7004. I do administer the whole of the wireless card in my Mac's.
I would like to bring my b3 now to be directly connected to my wireless modem / Accespoint (Netopia 3397GP) to be independent of my PC listening to Internet radio. Is there a way to do this? For advice, I'm glad!
Thanks a lot!

b3 directly connected to my wireless modem
Re: b3 directly connected to my wireless modem
Hi casanoff,
I don't understand your question.
Could you please illustrate what you want a bit more? (please keep in mind that most of us know nothing about Macs)
Think of it as a flow chart, describing your incoming internet connection, the way it reaches your bubba and other devices in your setup, and describe it in detail as it is now, and then how you would like it to be.
Cheers,
Ceeseboy

Re: b3 directly connected to my wireless modem
Hi Cheesboy
Thanks for your reply & sorry for my delayed response!
My b3 is placed in a separate room and connected (Cable) with my network audio player. It exists between the b3 and my PC or modem no wired connection. Therefore I would like that my b3 directly connect with my existing WiFi (modem/Accespoint Netopia 3397GP). So my Network Audio Player would be able to receive and play streamed web content (Internet Radiostations) and I would be independent of whether my computer is running or not.
My Mac, which I us only for filling with my b3 with audio content and for administrating is working well and is thus more likely of minor importance.
I hope you meet my comments to make you a more accurate picture of the desired area of operation of my b3 can. Thanks a lot!

Re: b3 directly connected to my wireless modem
Casanoff, where are you from? It might be better to post in your native language so you can make yourself better understood.
As far as I can tell, you're saying your B3 doesn't have a connection to the Internet and you want to join it to your wifi network. So the B3 would need to support ad-hoc mode which I don't know (someone help me out). Otherwise, it would probably be better to reconfigure your network so your B3 acts as the wifi access point and it has a physical connection to the Net.

Re: b3 directly connected to my wireless modem
As I understands it he wants the B3 to connect to the Netopia 3397GP which is his Access point. So he wants the B3 to be a client on the Wlan rather then a server. (I always have a problem remember if an access point is the server or the client). This should definitely be doable I use my B2 in this way. You need to login with ssh and configure this as root. You can unfortunately not do that from the web interface. The way I have set thing up I lost all the possibility to configure anything about the net through the web interface. Not even the firewall so I need to change everything from the B2 console. I have unfortunately not time to describe what I did right now. If your are lucky I might get some time next weekend but if I was you I should not count on it.
Re: b3 directly connected to my wireless modem
So the B3 is connected with the media player via Ethernet? Please confirm. My b3 is placed in a separate room and connected (Cable) with my network audio player.
"It" being your media player? Please confirm. It exists between the b3 and my PC or modem no wired connection.
OK, does this mean that ryz had it right in his assumptions in the previous post? Therefore I would like that my b3 directly connect with my existing WiFi (modem/Accespoint Netopia 3397GP). Please try to give use details.
When we are guessing, we will most likely guess wrong and then give you bad advice...

I would be very much interested in how you set this up. Are you using wds or is bubba connecting to your existing wireless network as a client? Hope you have a few words to get started..
