Hello,
before you criticise me, I already tried the searchfunction, but didn't really found the answer(s) I need.
Well, I'am an unexperienced user and don't know how to work with linux properly.
All I want is to use my Bubba as a SQL-Server but I can't install it, I tried to install xampp but it don't work, 'cause there are already some clients installed, so xampp won't start.
What I need is some friendly person who can explain me, very little step by very little step how I can install php on Bubba an how to use it. It would be best if I can just use it like xampp in window with http://xyz./phpmyadmin.
Thank you and sorry for my bad english.

Re: Installing (My)SQL on Bubba One
The Bubba is already set up with most, if not all, of what you want.
The normal web-interface that Bubba uses is based on these technologies.
I can't remember if the basic version has MySQL, but it does in the Lenny image and I would expect it to be part of the default setup.
[ phpMyAdmin is not part of the normal install ]

Re: Installing (My)SQL on Bubba One
Hi
I've got MySQL running on my Bubba One as I installed Joomla and Wordpress for some testing I did. It was a little while ago now but as I recall it did involve accessing the server via Putty and using apt-get. Setting up MySQL was also done over the terminal, certainly setting up the root password. Very IMPORTANT change this bec blank by default - big security risk.
I think I did find instructions for installing mysql, try running a search including apt-get. Sometimes it helps to use Google and restrict it to a particular site. For example go to google.com and type
site:forum.excito.net apt-get mysql
That should do it.
It isn't too difficult once you get the hang of it, and once the accounts are set up you should be able to install phpmyadmin www.phpmyadmin.net/ which makes the whole process much easier.
Links I've found helpful on MySQL can be found at

Hope that's helpful
