I have a problem with adding my printer on bubba through the web interface. Printing through bubba worked many months and a few days ago stopped. So I tried to switch the printing service off and then on.
It didn't help, so next I tried to delete and then add again the printer through "printing" screen in the web interface. The printer was recognized as usually (HP Photosmart 7550), but then, when I type in the name and location and click "Add" button, I get a message "Adding printer hp failed."
Does the name and location matter or are these fields just descriptive?
Could you point me where should I look next to solve the problem?

Adding printer failed
Hi habrys,
Strange that your printer just stopped working.
Name and description should really be descriptive. But please try to not add a location and a simple name and see if that does any difference.
If not. Could you take a look at the log-files, if you know your way around in Linux, from Cups they are located in /var/log/cups/
You could also try accessing the Cups web-admin http://bubba:631/ but i think that this unfortunately is disabled by default.

Thanks for your advice, tor.
I tried already yesterday to fill both fields - name and description with something, like "hp" for name and "bubba" for location and I still got the "Adding printer hp failed" message. So it isn't going to help.
Update 2: I didn't read your advice carefully I must admit. Ok, so I just tried to add the printer with "hp" as name and the location field empty and it didn't work too.
I also already took a look in some files from /var/log, like messages, auth and system and didn't find anything suspicious there. I found some error messages in the /var/log/cups/* files, but they were pretty old - I mean they originated from times, when my printer still worked. I'll check it again and post the exact messages in the evening - I don't have access to my bubba shell right now, only to the web interface.
I installed the debian sarge security updates a few weeks ago. I think, there were some new cups packages among them as well. Could it cause the problem perhaps? Does your web admin grep for some text from cups to determine if adding of a new printer succeeded? Maybe these texts changed in the new packages? Just a blind shot...
I'll investigate it further in the evening - I didn't have much time yesterday...
Update 1: I've found my post with a list of these security updates I installed and there are no cups packages there after all.
Here the list, if it helps:
