I'm considering getting a GAT-12v25w 802.3at POE->12V splitter to power my B3.
Has anyone tried if 2A is enough to power it (default powerbrick is 3A)?

2A enough for B3 POE splitter?
Re: 2A enough for B3 POE splitter?
Hi,
Normal operation B3 draws about 0,9 - 1 (A) (under disk usage) WD Green 1T.
So I think 2 A will be OK but to be sure you need to measure the power up current. (spinning up hdd will draw more than 1 A...)
Is the converter stable enough including the POE switch?
I think a normal power supply will be more reliable.
If all you data is on the B3....

The plan is to put a SSD in it when this happens, so I think it will work out.
Thanks for your help!
