I just updated to 2.3.1 using the manual command line way and noticed that minidlna was not installed and I installed in manually.
Now I wonder what else might be missing. Is there a way to check that all needed packages (the ones that would be available on a fresh install) are there? And is there ...

2.3.1 problems
I'm getting PHP errors in the Admin screen since updating to 2.3.1. Eg. I have the same problem as described in http://forum.excito.net/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3313 (but other pages give errors too)

Your email address is visible in the RSS feed of this forum. It's bubba2.user@ some dutch provider. So not much of a hack but more the stupidity of the forum software

Re: Making the wiki more useful
Why not add your manual to the wiki so users can extend, improve and build on top of it?

Making the wiki more useful
As a new user of the B3 I was disappointed about the available documentation. Especially indepth information about how the whole default system works is missing. Eg. what daemon is running when I enable something in the webinterface? Where can I finetune that daemon? And so on.

Re: A Kernel with ecryptfs Support
That's sounds interesting, can you recommend any tutorial for that?RandomUsername wrote:That's exactly what I've done but using an encrypted LVM volume rather than truecrypt.

sources for bubba3 kernel
Someone suggested to build needed kernel modules myself until a Excito developer answers to my need for an additional Kernel module. Unfortunately it seems the bubba3-kernel sources are not in the default repositories:
# cat /etc/apt/sources.list |grep -v '^#' |grep deb-src
deb-src http://b3 ...

Re: A Kernel with ecryptfs Support
The automatic decryption on a Desktop-System works through a PAM module. You could probably setup up this PAM module for Samba and SSH access as well.

Will setting up RAID will destroy the OS?
Hi,
I ordered a second hard disk and connected it via eSATA to my B3. My aim is to setup a RAID mirror. However, choosing this option from the administration interface warns me that I will loose all data on the internal hard disk. Since my B3 is new, that's no problem I don't have much data on it ...

A Kernel with ecryptfs Support
Hi,
I'd like to use ecryptfs to easily encrypt the /home dir (without the need for repartitioning or creating a huge container). Unfortunately the needed kernel module is not available on the bubba3 kernel. Could you provide an updated bubba-modules package?
Andi
