Binkem is right.
When I analyse a bit deeper, the problem is accents etc in the actual names of the folders and files.

I really need a wizzo batch renamer that will remove accents...

That doesn't work as I alluded to.
The squeezeserver will not read/scan the playlist .. it gives some sort of Perl encoding error. I cant remember the actual error. Something about "wide characters".

Just checked the error by putting an iTunes generated m3u into the squeezeserver and doing ...

Anyone got any advice on creating playlists for squeezeserver. (on B2)

I have tried through the web interface but it is so slow that every click lasts 30 seconds or more and half the time I get stuff added and then the save playlist just hangs.

Well just to update.

I did manage to finally run an apt-get update and install something last night.
I just attempted every couple of hours until it finally worked.

I get a 50% success rate when running nslookup on archive.debian.org. It times out alot.

Can I substitute a local mirror for archive ...

Every time I try to apt-get I get the message:
Temporary failure resolving 'archive.debian.org'

I get the same when I try apt-get update.

Here is my sources.list

I have created a playlist (.m3u) and squeezeserver on the bubba will not scan it due to special characters in the filenames.
The error message in the scanner log is:

As a follow up....
It appears that AFP IS working as I can connect from a Mac.
Not sure why I am getting the errors though.

I figured out it must be cron jobs and commented them out..

However the admin interface still shows a little envelope the is fully enables and allows you to click on it and open a mail window. Is it possible to remove/hide this?

Just realised I have the same problem.
Noticed new music was not appearing.

Set bubba to do delete and rescan... Not sure of result yet as I am at work but the logs are full of the same stuff. This is the end of the server.log. Scanner.log has similar stuff.
