Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2 software version 2.4.1
Ingo,
Thanks a lot. I may have to wait until I get back after Easter but I will indeed look into this. I suppose this thread should be carried over to B2 and B3 support.

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2 software version 2.4.1
Ingo,
HIDDEV is set now, which means that it can handle APC UPS'.
Have you been successful in getting this up and running on 2.4.1?
My installation does not create the udev rule required to provide hiddev.
I'm not sure that I have much time to address tis at present but would like to get apcupsd ...

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2 software version 2.4-RC
Hail,
I installed RC1 on two B2's following the steps outlined on the wiki and the procedure worked as advertised, however, upon applying the same procedure to RC3, one B2 came up (it works quite well now) but the other (the older one) will not pass the 2 Hz blinking light stage. I tried about 1 ...

Re: Release notes for Excito B3 software version 2.4
This will only happen when you try to set up a password with a wrong syntax (e.g. starting with a '#').
@Johannes: please comment if neccessary.
Thanks
Oliver
I thought there were other restrictions. Anyway, the password I tried to set was 16 characters, 11-lower case, 1-upper case, 1-numeric ...

Re: Release notes for Excito B3 software version 2.4
I was able to change the admin password during upgrade but now cannot change it again as admin within the web interface; I'm stuck with the first password I set.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so, is there another way to change the web admin password?
What do you mean exactly? Is the ...

Hail,
My last show stopper was due to a typo in ups.conf.
Now the driver won't load and I receive the following message:

USB communication driver 0.31

Has your issue been resolved? I experienced the same problem although enough

I would like to clean things up eventually.

disable mysql
Hail,
What is the cleanest way of disabling mysql in Bubba|two?
It uses a lot of memory and I am currently not using it.
Rick
