I have a Samsung B650 TV as well but gave up on Mediatomb after a while (I got it to work somewhat OK, but I didn't like it much). I have had more success with Minidlna (http://sourceforge.net/projects/minidlna/). It compiles without problems on Bubba and works with Samsung TV's without ...

I noted that as well, but it seems the links are working again. I haven't had any problems running this JDK on the Bubba Two apart from the fact that it wanted to have an older version of libc installed (but that seems to be OK).

I ran into some more problems and gave up last time I wrote here ...

This is not the case; you can download a Java 6 JDK for PowerPC at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/jdk/linux/download.html (32-bit iSeries/pSeries). I have installed it on my Bubba 2, and Tomcat works fine with it.

Sounds promising but the links on that page are all broken :(

As far as I know the most advanced Java for PPC is IBM 1.5.x
Development for PPC was stopped after IBM stop using it for is PC, so I don't think you will be able tu run tomcat on Bubba2.

IBM JDK

I have Java and Tomcat running on my Bubba Two, using IBM's JDK for PowerPC. It seems to work very well (but of course uses a lot of memory).

I don't remember exactly which JDK I downloaded, but I think it's the one for 32-bit iSeries/pSeries at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/jdk/linux ...
