In fact I had changed my MySQL password to something other than blank. I changed it back to blank and then re-installed per Carl's instruction, and it's working for me now (at least it's been re-scanning my 20K music files).

I have the same issue currently. Would love to know how to address. Carl recommended I try the following, which I will tonight:

To solve the issue at hand, try by issuing "dpkg-reconfigure -phigh
squeezecenter" and answer "yes", hopefully this will reinstall the
database for you.

Haven't tried it yet...do I need to uninstall first?

Are there any updates on the Squeezecenter issues? I have switched back to using my Mac as the Squeeze server, but this is why I bought Bubba!

Not long at all....I was doing other things at the time, but certainly less than an hour...maybe 30-40 mins.....

Slightly strange behavior. I can get to Bubba from outside, using my dyndns hostname. I get to the login page. But, when I enter login details, the browser just hangs. I have no problem logging in from inside my network. Is there another port I need to open besides HTTP/S?
